Why take Commerce?
Nowadays we have many lines to do after 12th, so why pass 12th only by choosing commerce subject? Taking commerce subject in class 12 should not be your compulsion. If you are interested in commerce and country’s economy then you should pass 12th with commerce like subject. Commerce is not a subject that if you got low marks in 10th then you took commerce. You have to study in commerce as well, so don’t try to treat it as an average subject.

Where does the subject come in commerce?
Now if you choose commerce then in 11th and 12th course you are taught basic subjects related to commerce which also includes computer knowledge as learning computer is very important in commerce field. Apart from Computer, Economics, English, Accountancy, Business Studies, Statistics are taught. If you understand and study them well, you will find college studies very easy later on.
Post Commerce Graduation Course
Many people think that after 12th commerce they have only one option left and that is B.Com but it is not so. After 12th from commerce you can go for any field except medical and engineering field. You can complete your graduation with subjects like Business, Law, Arts etc. After taking commerce, you can do the following graduation courses.

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce)
B.Com is the most famous and most preferred three year degree course. His full name is Bachelor of Commerce. Under this, your selection is easy but you can do it with some different topics. Selection in these subjects is done on the basis of your 12th marks. In this line you are taught the fundamentals of accounting and finance.
BBA >> Bachelor of Business Administration, and MBA >> Master of Business Administration
Apart from accounting, you are interested in management and have thought from the beginning that you want to do MBA, then you can do BBA after taking commerce in 12th. Its complete name is Bachelor of Business Administration. This is also a three year course. This course is designed with an objective to provide students with a sound understanding of management. Admission in BBA also depends on your marks. If you want to get admission in a good college then you have to get good marks in 12th. After earning a BBA, you can pursue an MBA. This is because of, if you want, you can prepare for CAT exam along with BBA, after qualifying which you can do MBA (Master of Business Administration) from a reputed business school in the country.
BBA+ LLB (Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law)
If you are interested in law and management then you can do LLB course along with BBA. This makes you a good lawyer in the corporate sector. It is a five-year integrated course in which both BBA and LLB are taught jointly.
BA+ LLB (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law)
Even if you have made up your mind to become a lawyer after passing 12th and you have studied commerce, you can become a lawyer directly. Nowadays many commerce students are becoming lawyers. If you want to become a lawyer, you can directly take admission in BA LLB course after 12th, which is a 5 year integrated course. If you are a graduate or have done commerce i.e. B.Com, then you can still do LLB
Professional course after commerce
After doing 12th commerce, you can also do some business courses which are very popular nowadays. In these courses, you have to work more time and hard than in degree course, but if you succeed in this once, it can be your life.
Chartered Accountant (CA)
As soon as we hear the name of Chartered Accountant (CA), we think of money. CAs always seem to make a lot of money because they handle people’s accounts, telling them how to save tax money and where to invest that money. It is true that CA earns a lot. You too can earn a lot of money in your life by becoming a chartered accountant. But for this you have to give 4 to 5 years time.
First of all you need to have at least 50 percent marks in 12th to become a CA. After passing 12th you have to give CA CPT exam. If you clear this exam then you will get admission in IPCC exam. This exam is conducted in two groups. First group has 4 subjects and second group has 3 subjects. You have to score at least 40 percent marks in each subject and you should have at least 50 percent marks in all subjects combined. In this, both the groups have to pass the exam. If you fail in group 2 exam then you can give second time also.
After 3 years of clearing the second group exam, you will have to take the final exam of CA. In these three years you prepare for CA final exam and do articleship. The final exam also has two groups. Four papers in each group. You should get at least 40 percent marks in each paper and your overall result should be at least 50 percent. Apart from these exams, there is also some basic training that has to be done during the course.
Another course
Apart from this, you can make your career in the field of commerce by doing courses like Company Secretary, Cost and Management Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, GST Expert etc.
Govt job after commerce
After graduation from any subject in commerce you can also do govt job. There are many government jobs for which a person who has completed graduation from any subject is eligible to apply. Through this you can become IAS and IPS from UPSC, you can become bank PO and bank clerk, you can prepare for state service commission exams, you can participate in SSC.
If you want to prepare for government job then prepare for it within the days of graduation itself. Because after graduation everyone is under pressure to get a job. In such a situation, if you get a job within one year of graduation. This saves you both time and effort.
