- Must have completed 16 years of age to get gearless two wheeler license
- Two-wheelers, motorcars, tractors and other non-transport vehicles with gear must complete 18 years of age to obtain a license.
- A person should have 20 years of experience to drive a transport vehicle. Apart from this he should have passed standard 8 and should have one year experience in driving light weight vehicles

Application Fee
- A computer knowledge test is required to get a learning license
- Subjects like policy rules, traffic signals are included in the test. 15 questions will be asked in the exam, out of which 11 questions have to be answered correctly to pass.
- You will get 48 seconds to answer each question
- A person who fails the test can appeal to retake the test after 24 hours
- A person who has a learning license or a driving license can apply to add a category of vehicle carriage to the existing driving license. which is exempted from computer based knowledge test.

Driving test is mandatory to get permanent driving license
- Any person seeking a learner’s license can take any driving test after a period of 30 days after obtaining it
- The driving test will be conducted only in the type of vehicle for which the driving license is applied for
- The learning driving license will be valid for 6 months only, so the applicant has to appear for the driving test within this valid period only.
